Founded in 2015, Rossmönster Overland is a Colorado-based company that specializes in producing well-appointed overland and expedition rigs. Using its own extensive experience taking part in long-distance off-road adventures, the team at Rossmönster applies its own expertise and firsthand knowledge to create an ever-more impressive range of go-anywhere mobile shelters and basecamps — the latest of which is the all-new Lagom Series.

Taking its name from the Swedish word for “just the right amount,” the Lagom is an incredibly unique off-road-style camper that provides ample living space and framed, panoramic views without hugely mitigating the vehicle’s performance or obstructing access to the truck’s bed. The Lagom consists of a pop-up dwelling with a hard-walled aluminum folding shell system that opens up into a bonafide room rather than just a cramped roof-top tent.

On its exterior, the Lagom Series sports a solar panel setup of up to 200-watts, secured and locking latches for all access points, massive front and rear window panes, and open access to the rear and sides of the truck’s bed. Inside, the pop-up camper features upholstered wall panels, a MaxxAir fan, an optional onboard Goal Zero power system, available dimmable LED dome lighting, and a full-size 2-inch-thick mattress pad. The Lagom Series also offers adventurers an affordable means of luxury overland camping without having to shell out the money for a fully built-out camper.

Available for Toyota Tacomas from 2016 to present, Jeep Gladiators from 2019 to present, and Ford F-150s from 2015 to 2020, the Rossmönster Overland Lagom Series starts at $14,000 for the Base Package and goes up to $17,000 for the Base Plus Package. In addition to offering the Lagom Series — and the rest of its adventure rigs as rental vehicles — Rossmönster is also selling an Expedition upgrade package with roof rails, an exterior ladder, an LED light bar, and custom MOLLE panels for an additional $4,000.
